Thank you for taking the time to look at our web site. It is intended to give you a little tour of one of the finest community hospitals in America. Whether you are a prospective patient, visitor, physician or health care professional looking for career or home, or perhaps someone from out of our area concerned about a loved one in our care, this site is for you. We hope it helps convince you that AMC is a good place to be if you need care or to visit or work or to partake in our many community programs.

While AMC is a relatively new and constantly growing organization, it has a long tradition of clinical quality, compassionate care and friendly small town hospitality that dates back more than fifty years. Opened in 1994, AMC is the successor to two fine hospitals in Staunton and Waynesboro Virginia - both long known for outstanding service. Today we are proud to continue those traditions born and nurtured over so many years, and now in a state of the art facility with truly the most advanced technology to be found. But beyond our traditions, our facilities and technology, we are proud of the physicians and hospital staff who provide for your needs right now. There are none finer to be found.

AMC is a regional hospital serving the needs of a large part of Virginia's beautiful Shenandoah Valley. Many of our services are geared toward the needs of the people of our area but no matter where you call home, we are happy to serve you if the need arises. Located at the cross roads of two major interstate highways, we receive many travelers and pride ourselves on not only meeting their clinical needs but in showing the true Virginia hospitality that makes our hospital and our communities so special.

So enjoy your electronic tour and should you visit us in person in any capacity we will do everything we possibly can to exceed your expectations.
